A Clifton Village favourite, given a website to match.
The Albion sits at the heart of Clifton Village, a long-standing Bristol pub known for its Sunday roasts, food, drinks and private dining. This project centred on the website: in April 2026 we built a clean, modern site designed to make booking simple and reflect the quality of the pub itself. The uplift in search performance came as a result, not the reason for the work. This case study covers the launch window, 17 April to 20 May 2026, and what the new site achieved early on.

A crowded corner of the Bristol hospitality market.
Clifton Village hospitality search is fiercely competitive, pubs, restaurants, bars and venues all chasing the same high-value terms, Sunday roast, pub food, private dining, venue hire. Migrating an established website brings its own risks too, rankings, indexation and years of built-up link value can all suffer if it isn’t done carefully. The old site had redirect chains going nowhere, a broken page, and several URLs sitting outside Google’s index, alongside a large but low quality backlink profile built up over time.
The brief was to give the pub a site that finally matched its reputation, fast, well designed, and easy to book through, while protecting the local presence it had already earned. Better search visibility was a bonus that came from getting those fundamentals right.
We handled the relaunch carefully, preserving what the pub had built while giving it a proper refresh.
Modern microsite with mobile-first design and clearly defined conversion paths
Fully self-managed platform with CRM integration and sub-second load speeds
+47 keywords in the top 10 ranking in first 30 days
Tristan and his company redesigned our company website. It has produced exception results – online enquires have gone up 3 fold, bookings have increased 33%, private dining bookings have increased 11%. These are all qualified stats! Pretty impressive. What is most impressive is the increase in Google rankings, and searches – in a time when hospitality is not where it was any spend has to be critically analysed with return on investment. We did it and it was the best decision we made in 10 years.
If anyone ever want to contact me Tristan has my details and I am happy for him to forward on.
In summary I will say this – be ahead of the game not behind it.

A relaunch that showed results from the start.
What matters most is that The Albion finally has a website that does the pub justice, easy to find, easy to book, and genuinely pleasant to use. The results came quickly, more people discovering the pub, more visits to the site, and a clear rise in table bookings. A better home online, and more covers through the door because of it.
